V-Ray 1.5 for Rhino Beta Starts Today

	V-RayRT® - a revolutionary new rendering engine that provides instant feedback and streamlines scene setup. Because V-RayRT® is built upon the same robust core as V-Ray®, it is seamless to transition between the two.
	Dome Light - provides a simple, artifact-free solution for creating image based lighting. Its powerful importance sampling analyzes HDR images to optimize light tracing and GI precision.
	V-Ray Proxy - indispensable tool for managing scene memory and efficiently rendering massive amounts of geometry. V-Ray Proxy objects are dynamically loaded and unloaded at render time, saving vital RAM resources.

Timeline and Application Process
The Beta program will run until the official release of V-Ray 1.5 for Rhino (expected for end of February 2012) and will be open to users interested to test the new version and submit feedback. To apply for the Beta program, you need to be a registered user at the Chaos Group website. Please note that your application may not be approved immediately due to a high number of applicants.

Participants in the Beta Program can submit questions and feedback at the Chaos Group forum (registration required) or get in touch with our Development Team by sending an email to vrayrhino@chaosgroup.com.

Licensing and Pricing
Please note that upon its official release, the new version of V-Ray for Rhino will be running with Hardware Key (dongle) installation only. Read more about hardware keys here. The price of a dongle is 35 USD/25 EUR/22 GBP respectively and does not include VAT and shipping costs.

All users who have previously purchased a V-Ray for Rhino license will be eligible for upgrade. Please make sure you enter your serial number when completing the Beta program application form. The V-Ray 1.5 for Rhino upgrade will be available for 3 months after the official release date. After that, only the full version will be available. The price of an upgrade is 320 USD/ 230 EUR/ 200 GBP respectively.

Everyone who has purchased V-Ray for Rhino between 01 September and the official release date for version 1.5 will get a free upgrade.
